What is included in the PADI Divemaster?

Mentoring by our instructors, Diving throughout the internship, PADI eLearning and EFR renewal on that option. We provide all dive equipment, tanks and weights.

How long does it take?

3–4 weeks (longer internships on request). It starts at 8:30 am and runs on consecutive days. Allow a spare day in case the sea is rough.

What do I need before I book?

Age 18 or older. PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent. EFR within the last 24 months. 40 logged dives to start and 60 to certify. A doctor's medical clearance for diving.

Can I pay the theory on PADI eLearning?

Yes, where the option is offered. PADI eLearning is paid to PADI and is not refundable. Classroom theory with us is refundable before the course starts, like everything else.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel any time before your activity starts for a full refund. Payment is final once the boat trip starts. PADI eLearning is paid to PADI and is not refundable.

Can you pick us up from our hotel?

Yes. Free tuk-tuk pickup from hotels within about 5 km of the centre, and from Mirissa. Staying further away? Pickup is possible at a cost. Ask us for a price.

Divemaster is the first professional level in PADI, and here it's a real internship. You work alongside our instructors in the day-to-day running of a PADI 5 Star resort.

You'll sharpen your skills, assist with students, guide certified divers and learn the theory and leadership that let you work as a PADI professional anywhere.
