Polhena and Madiha are famous for it’s iconic superstars swimming in their waters. Turtles!
This ecosystem has more than 15 Green Turtles who call this reef a home. Most of them are very friendly towards the people who visit them and occasionally will ask for a seagrass snack, (people with green hairs will get hair munchies!)
Usually the turtles are known for traveling but what is special about this ecosystem is most of the population tend to forage around the area all year around.
Snorkeling in Polhena is a famous activity among both locals and foreigners is because the safety of the activity.
The reef around the beach creates a barrier for all the waves and this makes a natural pool for the people to enjoy. Most part of the reef is shallow, from 3 feet to 6 feet which is perfect for both grownups and the little ones.
and the sunsets, trust us the sunsets are magical! The world stops when you are in the water and the dusk falls coating the surface of the ocean with golden color, water is warm and you will feel a school of fish passing beneath you. this is a place you will feel peace.
Heavily destroyed from the tsunami, various groups are trying to protect and nurture this reef by implementing many reef restoration methods and structures. If you are interested in coral reef restoration, this is a place that you should try snorkeling.
While snorkeling in Polhena, you will get to see different types of reef structures and nurseries which are placed to help the corals to latch on grow. These structures also provide a hiding ground for many animals.
You will see big cute Pufferfishes, curious Lobsters, sneaky Octopuses while exploring them.

This is our most exclusive snorkeling trip. Night snorkeling can be a great experience as most of the marine life comes alive at night and it is full of surprises! Eels and octopus, lobsters and shrimp are all much more active at night.
